FinishesWe specialise in all aspects of metal work in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, manufacturing custom made products to the exacting requirements and specifications of our customers. The use of C.A.D. technology ensures all design and fabrication work is completed to the strictest of tolerances, with a range of finishes available on all products fabricated. This includes shot blasted materials, conventional “wet spray to airless”, “Hot dipped” galvanizing and powder coating amongst many others.
Cutting, Folding & RollingWe are also able to offer a variety of cutting processes, including oxy-fuel, plasma and laser cutting using the latest CAD / CNC technology. The folding of certain ferrous materials can also produce multiple forms and metalwork configurations, including tube, box sections, angles and plate.
BFL CE certification to class 2The Construction Products Regulation 2011 (CPR) is a European Union (EU) regulation harmonising performance information on construction products across the EU. It is made most visible by the mandatory CE marking of regulated products. CE (Communauté Européenne (or Conformité Européenne)) signifies that a product complies with relevant safety, health or environmental regulations across the European Economic Area (EEA).
Some aspects of the Construction Products Regulation were applied from the 24th of April 2011, and others from the 1st of July 2013. However, the structural metalwork sector was given an additional 12 months to prepare for the change.
From the 1st of July 2014, the harmonised standard, BS EN 1090 Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures, makes it an offence to supply fabricated structural steelwork or aluminium to site that does not conform to the standard and carry the CE mark. Clients and contractors are only permitted to use firms that are CE marked with a specific ‘Execution Class’ appropriate for the project, as defined in BS EN 1090-1. At Burlington Fabrications we are proud to announce that we have been awarded the BFL CE Certificate, Certified to Class 2.
Working alongside Tech Inspections Ltd (our external RWC (Weld Co-ordinators)) and SCCS (The Steel Construction Certification Scheme) we aim to deliver the best service possible to our customers.
